Two materials we often choose for bathrooms, facades and accent walls, and why.

Terrazzo has returned to interiors as a material that combines durability with character. Larger chips in a dark base give a floor or wall depth, while finer ones leave a calmer, almost monochrome impression up close.
Ceramic slabs of 6 mm thickness are versatile: outdoors they serve as facade cladding, indoors as an accent wall or as a covering for furniture fronts. The low thickness also means low weight, so they can be bonded to existing surfaces without removing the old finish.
In bathrooms we most often combine the two: terrazzo on the floor and in the shower zone, a large slab on the wall behind the mirror. Fewer joints, easier maintenance and one clear material language throughout the room.
